About these maps: Different types of severe weather conditions exist all over the world. Use these maps to gain knowledge of when severe weather conditions exist in your local area.
Severe Thunderstorm Warning:
This is issued when either a severe thunderstorm is indicated by radar or a spotter reports a thunderstorm producing hail 3/4 inch or larger in diameter and/or winds that equal or exceed 58 miles per hour.
Any time a severe thunderstorm warning is issued, people in the affected area should seek shelter immediately.
Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes with little or no advanced warning.
